Greetings! I am Kinjal Roy, a seasoned designer and embroiderer hailing from the vibrant tapestry of India, now weaving the threads of my culture into the artistic canvas of Italy. My expertise in various embroidery niches has led me to master the art of design, leaving a mark of excellence in every stitch.
My passion lies in creating mesmerizing pieces that reflect the essence of fashion, drawing inspiration from the colorful heritage of my homeland. My vision is to be part of a creative realm where I can unleash my talent, imagination, and keen fashion sense to the fullest. Equipped with extensive sales and management acumen, I aim to contribute to product development and propel growth in the fashion industry. Work Experience

​
  • March 2023- Atelier  -I worked as creative embroiderer and sample maker. Where I executed intricate embroidery for high-profile fashion shows like Versace, Jil Sander, Dolce&Gabbana, Valentino, Alexander McQueen etc.. and pop stars' Met Gala and music tour outfits, as well as samples for haute couture brands, showcasing my unique craftsmanship.
  • 2018-2019 Kalgi House, Surat, India. - I held responsibility of creating new designs and implementing embroidery work. This involved developing patterns, conducting sampling for catalogue shoots and sourcing and purchasing fabric. Additionally, I successfully managed wholesale buyers, catering their specific needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • 2015-2017 Nareetaa Boutique, Pune, India. - I held the position of head designer. My primary responsibility was creating Indo-Western designs that aligned with the clients' requirements and catered to the festive season and bridal dresses. I actively collaborated with the pattern master, engaging in discussions to ensure accurate pattern development. Additionally, I supervised the pattern-making process and embroidery to maintain quality and consistency. Moreover, I took charge of sourcing and purchasing fabric and embellishments, ensuring the availability of high- quality materials for the designs.
  •  2002-2012 Hingu Fashion, Surat, India. - In 2002, I started my journey with Hingu Fashion as a sales assistant. Through my dedication, passion for designing, keen interest in patterns, and hard work, I was fortunate to be promoted to the role of assistant designer after working for over five years. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to further explore my creative talents and contribute to the company’s design process.

As a distinguished embroiderer and designer, my skill set is rich and varied. My role as a backstage manager in the frenetic fashion industry honed my leadership skills, where I adeptly managed a team of 30, navigating the labyrinth of show preparations. This role refined my problem-solving abilities, maintaining the seamless unfolding of events even amidst unexpected challenges.
Parallelly, I've innovated designs, developed patterns, and overseen catalog sampling. As a lead designer, I've created enchanting Indo-Western festive and bridal wear, engaging with pattern experts for impeccable outcomes. I've controlled the process end-to-end, from pattern creation to material procurement.
My journey from sales assistant to head designer showcases my dedication and adaptability, making me an asset in any collaborative creative setting. My aspiration is to apply this broad skill set to drive product innovation and growth. As a designer, my daily life—filled with art, culture, diverse personal expressions—serves as an endless source of inspiration, fueling my passion for crafting unique designs. Every encounter leaves a lasting imprint on my vision, infusing my work with a timeless charm celebrating the beauty of the human spirit.
